LicencePro Payment Policy

1. Incorporation and Scope
1.1. All terms defined in the LicencePro Driving Instructor Terms and Conditions and the Learner Terms and Conditions have the same meaning here and are incorporated by reference into this Payment Policy.
1.2. This Payment Policy is binding on both Driving Instructors and Learners and serves as a supplementary schedule to the aforementioned Terms and Conditions.
2. Booking Prices
2.1. Price Determination:
The price for a booking is set by LicencePro. Pricing may vary based on factors such as the Learner's pick-up location, the type of vehicle transmission, and the specific Driving Instructor selected.
2.2. Hourly Basis:
All booking prices and discount calculations are based on one-hour sessions.
2.3. Learner Confirmation:
Before payment is processed, Learners will be shown the total price for the booking and must confirm the amount prior to completing the transaction.
3. Discount Bands
3.1. Overview:
Learners who pay for multiple booking hours in a single transaction may receive a discount based on the total number of hours purchased, as follows:
- 0–4 booking hours: 0% discount
- 5–9 booking hours: 5% discount per hour
- 10–19 booking hours: 7.5% discount per hour
- 20 or more booking hours: 10% discount per hour
3.2. Application of Discounts:
Discounts are applied to the price of a one-hour booking at the time of purchase. This discounted rate is fixed for that transaction, although the price for future bookings may differ.
3.3. Bonus Credit:
Discounts are granted as non-refundable bonus credit, which is added to the Learner's LicencePro account. When a booking is made, the bonus credit will be deducted proportionally from the Learner’s account balance.
Example:
If a Learner pays for 20 hours at $100 per hour, they will pay $1800 and receive $200 bonus credit. When booking a lesson at $100 per hour, $10 of bonus credit will be applied to that session.
3.4. Non-Cumulative Across Transactions:
Discount Bands are awarded on a per-transaction basis. For instance, if a Learner pays for 8 hours in one transaction (receiving a 5% discount on those hours), and later pays for another 8 hours, the discount for the subsequent transaction is calculated independently (and the higher discount tier does not retroactively apply).
3.5. Refunds and Bonus Credit:
If a Learner is granted a refund, all bonus credits provided as part of any discount will be forfeited. The refund will be calculated based on the full, undiscounted booking price, meaning that all lessons will be charged at the full fee with no bonus credit applied.
3.6. Other Offers:
From time to time, LicencePro may offer special promotional packages or discounted booking packages. In such cases, the Discount Bands described herein may not apply.
4. Cancellations and Rescheduling
4.1. Late Cancellations:
Any cancellation made by a Learner within 24 hours of the booking start time is considered a late cancellation.
4.2. Instructor Options for Late Cancellations:
In the event of a late cancellation, the Driving Instructor may, at their discretion:
- Require that the Learner pay the full cost of the booking, or
- Reverse the payment entirely, allowing the Learner to reschedule the booking without charge.
4.3. Instructor Response Time:
The Driving Instructor must indicate their preferred option for handling a late cancellation within 30 days. If no option is provided within that timeframe, the default procedure (i.e. payment of the late cancellation fee) will apply.
5. Lesson Payment Validation
5.1. Automatic Payment:
Payment to the Driving Instructor is automatically processed at the conclusion of each booking. LicencePro will assume that the booking has been completed as scheduled.
5.2. Reversals:
If a completed booking is reversed by either the Driving Instructor or LicencePro within 30 days of the booking’s end time, the full amount will be credited back to the Learner’s account for use in future bookings, subject to the Learner Terms and Conditions.
6. Refunds for Validated Bookings
6.1. Refund Requests:
LicencePro may, from time to time, receive requests to refund payments made to a Driving Instructor for completed bookings.
6.2. Dispute Resolution:
Any payment dispute raised through a payment provider after service delivery may trigger debt collection proceedings and could incur additional fees.
6.3. Investigation and Determination:
LicencePro will review all refund requests and, at its sole discretion, determine whether a refund should be issued. Factors considered may include:
- Evidence of fraudulent activity or unauthorised payment by the cardholder;
- Failure by the Driving Instructor to reverse a booking payment when a Learner did not take the lesson due to an error or fault on the part of the Driving Instructor; or
- Complaints that, upon investigation, reveal that the Driving Instructor breached the Driving Instructor Terms and Conditions.
