Before you can book
Each state and territory sets its own requirements, such as a minimum age, time on your learner licence, log book hours and a hazard perception test.
During the test
The testing officer assesses how you control the car, spot and respond to hazards, make decisions and share the road. They won’t coach you during the test.
If you don’t pass
You usually get feedback on what to improve. There may be a waiting period before you can take the test again.
The car you use
The car must be registered, roadworthy and meet the test requirements. With the Driving Test Package, you sit the test in your instructor’s car.
Each state and territory runs its own driving test. Check the requirements with your licensing authority before you book.
